The primary responsibility of the Activities Attendant will be to facilitate creative and engaging programming for resort guests, resort members, and their children. This individual will serve as counselor for Camp Pronghorn and will be responsible for chaperoning a group of children during off property activities. This person will act as an ambassador for Pronghorn by providing accurate information regarding resort amenities, adventures programming, and Central Oregon area attractions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must demonstrate a guest driven style of service with an upbeat, friendly sense of urgency in all interactions with Pronghorn members and guests.
- Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:
- Daily arrivals/ departures/ house count
- Features and services of the hotel
- Hours of operation for each outlet
- Parking facilities, layout, and procedures
- Maintains accurate records, rosters, and waiver forms as appropriate. Facilitate Camp Pronghorn programming and contribute to activity descriptions.
- Ensure applicable activities billing is handled appropriately.
- Responsible for the safety and well being of children participating in Camp Pronghorn activities.
- Responsible for the organization of Base Camp and adventures equipment room.
- Report guest concerns, incidents, or suggestions for improvement to management.
- Set up a workstation with necessary supplies; maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Maintain organization & cleanliness of the pool area, patio, and pool towels.
- Will work varied hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must maintain the privacy of all Pronghorn guests.
- Maintain grooming and uniform standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Manages workflow effectively and in an organized and timely manner.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all hotel and departmental policies.

- Able to effectively handle multiple tasks.

- Maintains a professional standard at Pronghorn including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the resort, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests.
- Supports and adheres to the CORE Values (ie. “The T.R.I.P.”), Service Fundamentals, and Guest Service Philosophy as defined by the Company.
- Maintains a positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Guest Services Manager or Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Must possess patience and a sincere appreciation for children of all ages with the ability to communicate ideas and suggestions in a variety of forms.
- Valid Oregon driver's license with no recent alcohol related offenses or criminal record.
- Knowledgeable and familiar with Central Oregon attractions and recreational areas.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires a valid Oregon Driver License.
CPR Certified, First Aid Certified
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Local travel may be required often depending on the season.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Will range from 100 0% outside to a fully inside shift, depending on business necessity and requirements such as shuttle runs, valet services, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to limited lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying over 25 lbs, including movement of furniture; must be able to reach overhead; be able to bend and kneel for extended periods of time. The employee will be in continuous movement across all areas of the property and body flexibility for movement of furniture and equipment is a necessary ability. Occasional sitting at a desk and phone use; continuous standing is required; climbing stairs is required; minimal driving required, and a valid Oregon drivers license is required. Employees will also need to answer the telephone and radio; deal with paperwork, computer system, electrical and mechanical systems; communicate with guests to solve problems. Employee must know how to identify and handle chemicals used in routine work through use of MSDS.
